Paul R. Johnston, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Johnston is responsible for all pre‐development and due diligence items at JLB. During his career he has been involved in over $3 billion worth of construction closings which include more than 70 projects and 24,000 conventional rental, condominium, and student housing units. Project types include mixed use, garden style, townhome, four story medium density, and high rise construction.

Prior to joining JLB, Paul served as a department head at Fairfield Residential and had full responsibility for all due diligence, feasibility studies, design coordination and entitlements for projects in 11 states and over 30 municipalities and counties. Earlier in his career he worked in both the private and public sectors as a consultant and as a director of development services for a municipality. Paul attended Texas A&M University where he received both a Bachelors and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree graduating with honors.
